Postgres Plus Cloud Database easily provisions PostgreSQL and Postgres Plus Advanced Server databases (with Oracle compatibility) in single instances, high availability clusters, or development sandboxes for Database-as-a-Service environments. The self-healing high availability clusters are setup in minutes with high-speed binary replication, automatic read and write load balancing, optional auto-scaling, scheduled backups, and automatic failover. You can also use cluster replicas for disaster recovery purposes and even cloning production data to programming sandboxes for new application development or testing.
Enterprise class database in the cloud with an Oracle option
Postgres Plus Cloud Database provides DBaaS for PostgreSQL databases which are full featured enterprise class databases without many of the limitations of other lightweight or specialized databases. If you use Postgres Plus Advanced Server, you'll also have an inexpensive proven alternative for moving applications written to run on Oracle into a cloud environment. This allows your staff to reuse existing Oracle development skills and create new applications that target Postgres Plus Cloud Database.

Postgres Plus Cloud Database supports multiple cloud environments that will initially include: Amazon and Eucalyptus with more to come. In addition to supporting environments from multiple cloud vendors, you can even use Cloud Database to deploy inside a traditional data center providing unparalleled deployment management. Finally, Cloud Database lets you choose from a number of browsers providing a portable and light weight client in Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorer or Opera.
With Cloud Database, you can transparently add new nodes in seconds to increase scale complete with built-in load balancing and failover. You also get full data protection in the cloud with online backup and point-in-time recovery. You can even clone your databases to create development sandboxes for your programmers.
