RPA: The Future of Robotic Process Automation with a Marketing Touch

Robotic Process Automation or RPA (as it is popularly known) is no longer an alien term in the IT industry. A technology that was long thought to be highly complex to be implemented because of the costly implementation is now making inroads into the IT realms with updated features. According to the latest Forbes report, the future is bright for organizations looking forward to overcome tumultuous growth, particularly, in the year 2020. It is extremely laudable that organizations have to make way exclusively for automation to take the place of their mainstream tasks such Invoice Processing, Payroll Automation and more.

Another post published in Business Wire related to automation signifies the same approach. It’s been revealed that Softomotive, a UK-based firm (the latest one to be added to the list of RPA tools) is on the path to glory with over 9000 clients signed up already. Enhancing market opportunities have already catapulted the firm to such a level that it has raised 25 million USD through Grafton Capital. Perhaps, it is surging in the entire Asia with the citizens being empowered already with FREE training, especially in countries like China, Japan and South Korea. It is no wonder then that it will become a global trend soon.

Meanwhile, the latest Gartner report too beckons the same as well. In fact, the report takes RPA a step forward by making it one of the top five trendsetters in the business. The major hindrance for RPA so far has been that SMBs are hesitant to purchase or hire bots as they think that they are beyond their budget range. Major players in the industry like Automation Anywhere, UiPath and Blue Prism have now their task cut out. And, that’s about making the technology more reachable to even smaller enterprises as well, at least in the near future if not now.

The Federal government is not immune to the fast-varying trends in the Employment sector. At a time when the workforce in the West is crippled with the lack of features to improve their productivity largely because of poor AI implementation, the availability of RPA is seen as a blessing in disguise. Major mandates are in the incubation stage aimed eventually to improve the productivity levels. For instance, the formation of UiPath Federal team in order to realize Public Sector Automation is seen as a yardstick to determine the future of RPA.Eventually, it is expected to overhaul the existing processes completely; be it automating repetitive tasks or streamlining manual processes. The Forrester report reflects this sudden change in the mindset of the top management of organizations. If it not RPA for AI, then the situation would have been drastically different. Similarly, the inclusion and adoption of RPA along with other leading technologies too is seen as a game changer in the near future. It is now popularly being termed as ‘connected RPA’ leading towards an entirely different concept known as process mining. In addition to AI, the integration of RPA with other advanced technological concepts such as pattern matching and cognitive computing has led to new-age project management.
